 In 1990 Insurance Commissioner Bill Hager started the Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) in Iowa. Twenty years later SHIIP has grown into a trusted service that many Iowans rely on to help them annually with Part D and Medicare Advantage decisions, for new beneficiaries to help them sort through the many decisions they have to make going on Medicare and for the many other Medicare and insurance problems Iowans face daily.
