More Iowa Falls Clinic Nurses Have the Spotlight
We have three more nurses to feature this month in our spotlight at the Iowa Falls Clinic. Take a moment and thank Charisse, Laura, and Dorothy for all they bring to our Clinic and our patients every day! Thanks, ladies!

Charisse Off
Charisse earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 1996. Soon after she took a job in Lincoln, Nebraska working on an Oncology/Neurology floor. 2-1/2 years later she met her future husband, Bruce Off, and worked her way back home by accepting a position at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines and Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. In 2003 she took a job at the Iowa Falls Clinic working with Dr. Brunsen.
Charisse and Bruce live in Iowa Falls with their two children, Sam, 5, and Allie, 3-1/2. In her spare time, Charisse enjoys bicycling and scrapbooking. Thanks for all you do, Charisse!
Laura Hartkopp
Laura earned her Nursing degree from ECC in Iowa Falls and has worked at EMH since 2002. She has worked at the Iowa Falls Clinic since 2004. Currently, Laura’s schedule is PRN, which means she fills in on the schedule when needed. Her responsibilities also include working in the Education Department as a CPR Instructor where she teaches classes at EMH as well as other businesses in the community.
Laura and her husband, Ron, have two grown children. Their son, Ron, lives in San Antonio, Texas, and Kelly lives in Blairsburg. Her spare time is filled with gardening, reading, and time with grandson, Lucas. Thanks for letting us see inside of your world, Laura!
Dorothy Teske
Dorothy attended school for Nursing at the Allen School of Nursing in Waterloo. She then worked at Allen Hospital for two years before marrying Leon Teske. They moved to rural Eldora where she worked for the Eldora Hospital until it closed in the year 2000. After that Dorothy worked Emergency Room staffing with Agency Nursing, and is now with the Iowa Falls Clinic.
Leon and Dorothy have two sons. Johnathan and his wife, Suzy, have four children. John farms with his dad and sells seed corn for Midwest Seed Genetics. Michael and wife, Jolene, have two children. Mike also farms with his Dad and helps out with local golf courses, as needed. He was a golf course manager before coming home to farm.
In her spare time Dorothy loves to watch the grandchildren, read, sew, quilt, and cook. Something special to make note of, Dorothy and Leon will celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary this month on September 14th. Congratulations to the happy couple! |
