As a part of our mission of "Caring for People in Special Ways", EMH is committed to providing quality health care services with compassion, dignity and respect for those we serve, particularly the poor and the underserved in our communities through our Spirit of Sharing (SOS) Charity Program.
The amount of charitable services provided will be subject to EMH’s financial ability to absorb the cost of such services, while remaining financially viable. Patients shall be determined to be medically indigent if they do not have the personal resources to pay for their care. In determining whether a patient has inadequate resources to pay for their care, it should also be determined whether payment for the care would cause severe economic and/or social hardship for the patient and/or family.
If you feel you might be eligible for the Spirit of Sharing Program, you will need to complete an application and return to EMH.
