The Emergency Department at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital is a certified Level IV Trauma Center, providing services to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Each year our facility cares for more than 5000 patients ranging from simple injuries and illnesses to critical cardiac events and trauma, motor vehicle accidents. EMH has the staff and equipment and resources needed to stabilize serious patients while preparing patients for transfer if it is needed.
Specially trained Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, a Trauma Coordinator, and nurses staff the Emergency Department at EMH. The nurses are certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) and BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support).
