Between the renovations to our existing building and the new construction, we are excited to be creating a facility that will provide quality health care services well into the future.
Start Date: March 2011, completed in two phases
End Date: January 2013
Project Cost: Construction costs are estimated at $8 million, with total project costs at $12.8 million. Funding for the project is through a Recovery Zone Economic Development Bond. When completed, the addition and renovation will expand the existing facility to enhance outpatient services and allow for 25 private inpatient rooms.
Phase I: Expected to take 12 months; involves the construction of a new three story tower north of the current facility
First Floor: Expanded Rehabilitation Services Department that will provide outpatient physical therapy, diabetic education, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, and a community fitness center. Imaging services will be enlarged to allow for additional services.
Second Floor: Additional 17 private inpatient rooms; all private rooms are becoming the norm in hospital construction because they assist against the spread of infection and are more pleasing and private for patients and their families.
Phase II: Involves renovation to the current building resulting in 8 private rooms and two additional hospice rooms with extra space for families and other end-of-life considerations. Also included on the inpatient wing will be rooms dedicated to isolation patients that need to be kept from the general patient population for infection control reasons.
Expanded Radiology department, new Administrative offices, moderization of the Dining Room, Patient Financial Services and the south entrance Atrium.
