Hancock County Memorial Hospital’s Main Entrance Closed Due to Construction
Hancock County Health System (HCHS) is entering the final phase of its construction/renovation project at Hancock County Memorial Hospital (Hospital). Beginning November 26, the Hospital’s main entrance, 532 First Street, N.W., will be closed due to renovation.
“We will have construction workers removing carpet, building walls, and re-designing the interior of the main entrance,” said Curt Gast, Director of Facilities for HCHS. Patients and visitors are asked to enter the Hospital through the Emergency Room entrance or through the Wellness Center entrance on the north side of the building.
Other areas impacted by this phase of renovation are the business office, radiology and the dining room. During the renovation project, patients scheduled for radiology or surgical procedures should register through the Emergency Room registration desk. The business office and dining room will remain open with limited access during the project. Gast anticipates the renovation to be completed by the end of December.
