EMH Mammo Staff Earns Certification in Mammography from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Wendy Krukow and Deb Kadolph, Mammography Technologists at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, have recently been certified in Mammography by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). They join Starr Miller who previously earned the certification. All three EMH Mammography Technologists now add the initial “(M)” after their existing RT(R) credentials.
Wendy is a graduate of the Radiography Program at Iowa Central Community College, Deb is a graduate of the Radiography Program at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and Starr is a graduate of Allen College School of Radiography. They have a combined total of over 47 years of experience.
All imaging technologists must be ARRT certified. The addition of Mammography certification extends their expertise into this specialty area and assists them in delivering safe and effective patient care. ARRT ensures the continuing education and ongoing ethics compliance of these professionals by requiring annual registration of certificates.
The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) promotes high standards of patient care by recognizing qualified individuals in medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy. Headquartered in St. Paul, Minn., it tests, certifies, and annually registers more than 300,000 radiologic technologists across the U.S.
