The Hospital Auxiliary provides services and fundraising for Regional Health Services. Those services and activities include:
Greeters: Act as guides for patients and visitors who need assistance when at the hospital or clinic. They also help with the cataract surgery patients and help out around the hospital wherever needed.
Gift Gallery: The gift shop opened in June of 2014 and is supported and run by the RHS Hospital Auxiliary volunteers. Proceeds are used to fund equipment purchases and projects for RHSHC. The Gift Gallery carries a wide variety of items for all ages and is open Mon-Fri from 9 am to 4 pm. The Gift Gallery held a Holiday Open House on November 12-13, 2014. The 12th was an exclusive sale for Auxiliary members, generating over $1,000 in an hour! The 13th was open to the public. At both events, Auxiliary members provided cookies, coffee and hot apple cider to shoppers and anyone else passing by the front desk.

Scholarships: The RHS Hospital Auxiliary awards academic scholarhips each year to students pursuing a career in the area of medicine. One scholarship is awarded through the Dollars for Scholars program to a high school senior (application form available at Crestwood High School). The other scholarship is for $1,000 to a non-traditional student (click on link for copy of application or pick up form at hospital registration desk). Scholarship funds are raised through coffees hosted by members either in their home or at the hospital, or elsewhere.

Baby Book Packets: Given to new parents. Includes a children's book for baby plus pamphlets on early childhood education and information on the Cresco Public Library. This project is funded by book sales that are held twice a year.
Book and jewelry sales are held periodically throughout the year to raise additional funds for hospital equipment and scholarships. The next jewelry sale is scheduled for October 27, 2015. The next book sales are scheduled for April 16 and November 17, 2015.
Omelet Breakfast: Each year we host an Omelet Breakfast. Many RHSHC employees help with this project. The proceeds from this event go for a specific piece of equipment chosen from a "wish list" submitted by the various departments of RHSHC. The Omelet Breakfast for 2015 is scheduled on Sunday, March 22nd.
In July we host a four person Best Shot Golf Tournament, and again the proceeds purchase an item from the “wish list”. The next Golf Tournament will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.
The Annual Hospital Auxiliary Quilt Auction is held late summer. The Quilt Auction has raised over $530,000 since it began in 1977. It has helped support the purchase of items such as cardiac equipment, surgical tables, fetal heart monitors, portable x-ray equipment and many other equipment needs at Regional Health Services. The RHS Hospital Auxiliary is a finalist among fundraising programs for the 2014 American Hospital Association Hospital Awards for Volunteer Excellence (HAVE) for their Annual Auxiliary Quilt Auction. Please see attached.

The Annual Hospital Auxiliary Holiday Cookie & Candy Sale is held in December. Proceeds from this event are used to purchase items from the “wish list”. The date set for 2015 is Friday, December 11th.
The RHS Hospital Auxiliary meets on the first Thursday of each month (no meeting in January) at 1:30 pm in the Laura Rose Lobby of the Hospital. Everyone is welcome! Membership dues are only $5 a year and help offset the cost of expenses such as advertising and supplies. There are featured speakers as well as updates by Hospital CEO, Robin Schluter.
