Ellsworth Municipal Hospital is located in the community of Iowa Falls. We provide Hardin County and the surrounding communities with local healthcare services and critical care. EMH is a critical access hospital and municipally owned facility. It is fully supported by the revenues of products and services it provides, as well as private donations from generous contributors throughout Hardin County. Operating as a municipal facility for over 100 years, we do not take in tax revenues of any kind. Over the last ten decades, EMH has continued to promote healthy living. Our physicians, nurses and employees strive to improve the health and quality of life of all those entering our doors.
Our mission…Caring for People in Special Ways…has always been supported by a vision…Imagine a Place Where You Have A Healing Experience Beyond Your Expectations. The excellence we have achieved has been passed down through charitable-minded citizens, beginning with E.S. Ellsworth in 1902 and continues today. With a vision of the future honoring their memory, we now are working on a plan to provide Hardin County with a new hospital. We believe this project will inspire us all in a spirit of innovation and healing for the next century.
